Ottoman-Ukrainian relations in the Northern Black Sea area: the Cossack era
On April 21 – 22, 2016, in Odesa, with the support of the Consulate General of Turkey in Odesa and personal organizational support by Mr. Cevdet Külekçi, the A. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies in association with the Historical Department of the Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University and Department of History of the Cossacks in the Southern Ukraine of the Institute of History of Ukraine (Ukrainian Academy of Sciences) held a round-table ‘Ottoman-Ukrainian relations in the Northern Black Sea area: the Cossack era.’
The round table opening ceremony was marked by the presentation of a monograph by Oleksandr Sereda, Ph. D. history, Fellow of the A. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies ‘Ottoman-Ukrainian borderlands in the XVIII century based on Ottoman Turkish sources.’ – Odessa: Astroprint, 2015
